Dunton Environmental solve complex ground contamination problems in the construction and other industries. Find out why they came to us to help secure a cash flow loan.
In October 2019, after two years of rapid growth, Dunton’s working capital came under pressure from weather-related delays and customer billing issues. Dunton was also over-concentrated in onsite remediation for the construction sector and needed to diversify into off-site solutions attracting business from other industries.
We engaged with Dunton’s management to understand the nature of the business and their financial requirements for growth. We condensed management information into a concise and compelling lender presentation pack.
We analysed the modelled cash flow forecasts to determine the right level of funding required. We assessed affordability for the benefit of both Dunton and the lender. This underpinned a detailed funding proposal to support the application to Caple.
To allow Dunton’s management team to focus on running the business, we conducted the application process and led negotiations with the Lender.
The funding covered Dunton’s additional working capital requirements, whilst billing with key clients normalised. The funds also allowed the company to continue its diversification plan and other key projects such as refurbishment of its new Head Office.
“When we approached Shaw and Co to assist us in finding a funding solution for our growth plans, they were very quick to source suitable avenues, tailor-made for our specific needs. I found that working with Alexei and his team through the due diligence process was far less stressful and time consuming than other funding deals we had explored previously.
They were very swift in gaining an understanding of our business which helped build the picture for the main funder to easily approve. They were an excellent bridge between us and the funder which helped in building relationships on both sides, which added value through the application process and has continued during the loan term. We have maintained a great relationship following the loan agreement and they continue to assist us on matters relating to the loan reporting to ensure that the agreement flows smoothly.
I would not hesitate to recommend them for financial advice and would most certainly use them again."
