Our purpose is to assist our clients in achieving their financial objectives and maximizing value through mergers, acquisitions, and funding solutions and the ultimate realisation of their business interests. Our track record includes transacting with the likes of Unilever, Vodafone, Groupon and Michelin to name a few. As a forward-thinking firm, we are continuously expanding our offerings to meet the evolving needs of our clients.
Shaw & Co is entering an exciting phase of automation‑enabled transformation. Having invested in Microsoft 365, Dynamics, Copilot and Copilot Studio, we are building intelligent internal AI Agents that automate research, summarisation, document preparation, meeting preparation and knowledge retrieval.
We are looking for someone with a strong foundation in Microsoft PowerApps, Power Automate and Dynamics 365, with hands‑on experience designing and building solutions across these platforms. You will already be confident in PowerApps/Dynamics design and have a solid understanding of how underlying processes interact, enabling you to build on this knowledge and progress into creating Copilot agents.
As an Automation & AI Associate, you will help build, maintain and refine our CRM, fixing issues as they arise and improving internal functionality through automations, Copilot agents and user education (with the support of the Business Operations Manager).
i) Development and Maintenance
• General development work on Dynamics 365 (low–no code), helping resolve issues and improve overall usability.
• Run basic testing cycles, check outputs for accuracy and flag unexpected behaviours.
• Assist in building, configuring and maintaining internal AI Agents using Copilot Studio — with guidance and support from senior team members.
• Maintain existing Power Automate workflows and develop new ones to improve efficiency or support agent development.
• Develop Dynamics 365 customisations and improve user experience and reporting.
• Keep simple documentation up to date (e.g., SOPs, agent prompt guides, workflow notes).
ii) Research and Automation Workflows
• Refine or create automations for repetitive tasks such as document drafting, data lookup, CRM enrichment and meeting preparation.
• Work with Business Operations and Origination to understand needs and translate them into basic workflows using automations, AI agents or other tools.
• Help structure information so that agents can interpret, reason over and summarise it effectively.
• Research new AI features and evaluate how they could be used internally.
• Monitor automated processes and CRM functionality to highlight opportunities for improvement or optimisation.
iii) Collaboration, Governance & Knowledge Management
• Work closely with colleagues across Business Operations and the wider business to understand their processes and translate them into simple, AI‑ready steps.
• Follow established guidelines on safe and responsible AI use, including data handling and quality checks.
• Gather user feedback on CRM issues and research potential improvements to support the wider business.
• Support the creation and maintenance of internal documentation such as prompt libraries, workflow diagrams and testing notes.
• Join training sessions, demos and workshops — both to learn and to support others adopting AI tools.
• Contribute to team discussions on new ideas, use cases and continuous improvement opportunities.
• Essential:
- Experience of PowerApps: specifically, Power Automate, and Dynamics 365
- Experience creating automation workflows and connecting Microsoft systems.
- Ability to problem‑solve using technical tools, develop use cases and apply logical fixes.
- Strong interest in AI, automation and improving operational efficiency.
- Comfortable breaking down tasks into logical steps.
- Clear communicator who can collaborate effectively with different teams.
- High attention to detail and interest in making processes more efficient.
• Desirable:
- Experience of building AI agents in CoPilot Studio.
- A proactive mindset — someone who enjoys suggesting improvements and trying new approaches.
- Ability to learn through experimentation and self‑directed research.
• Basic salary: £30,000 - £35,000 pa (potentially increased for an exceptional candidate).
• PRR1 & PRR2 bonus participation.
• Equity Incentive through company EMI scheme.
• Private Health Cover (you and family).
• Death in Service, Income Protection.
• Workplace Pension Scheme.
• Bristol (central).
• Hybrid option working up to 2 days per week from home/alternative location with line manager approval.
